This deep and richly flavoured chicken comes from its slow growing and corn fed diet. So full of juicy tenderness and exceptional flavours there is no going back!
Our Loué birds are rustic, slow growing breeds. Their longer lifespan and their life in idyllic free-range conditions, with lots of space to roam around wooded pastures allows their meat to develop an unmistakably deep, rich flavour.
Defrost thoroughly before cooking. Remove the chicken from packaging, pat dry with kitchen paper and allow to come to room temperature, this is for even cooking.
Preheat the oven to 230°C / Fan 210°C / Gas 8, season the chicken with salt and pepper. Place chicken in a roasting tray and cook for 15 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 4 and cook for a futher 35-45 minutes (12-14 minutes per 450g).
Once cooked rest in a warm place until ready to serve.
