Production Operative - Job Specification

Reporting to a Team Lead this position is based in Inverurie.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (6 am – 2.30 pm) with overtime when required.
Duties will include:
  • On a daily basis, preparation of product to Donald Russell and customer standards and specifications
  • Develop basic knife skills to trim and debone meat products (full in house training given)
  • Operation of any machinery used during the production process (full training will be provided)
  • Weighing and packing meat products
  • Counting, moving, lifting and stacking product as required (training in manual handling will be given)
  • Completion of specification paperwork
  • Good housekeeping and ensuring all equipment is kept in good condition
  • Maintain quality and hygiene standards
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience within a food despatch environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of meat products and knife skills would be beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to understand and adhere to food safety standards
  • Weighing and packing meat products
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to understand specification sheets

Food Advisor - Job Specification

This exciting position is based within the Contact Centre at our main premises at Inverurie, working 37.5 hours per week (exact days/hours to be confirmed). This is a key role in building and enhancing the relationship Donald Russell has with its many customers.


You will be responsible for hitting key monthly sales and margin targets set for different activities, by undertaking outbound telemarketing campaigns to build relationships with existing customers and generate additional sales. You will have the opportunity to develop a personal customer base and have responsibility for optimising service and sales for your group, as well as resolving any queries or complaints raised.


Full training on all products (and yes that includes tasting!) will be a vital part to enhancing your knowledge of Donald Russell products to pass onto your customers.


An organised self-starter, confident communicator with first class interpersonal skills and excellent sales skills are key to success in this role. Proficiency in all MS Office packages and the ability to learn a bespoke ordering system are essential, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team when the need arises.


This role will be salaried, with a bonus scheme in place linked to performance.


As this role involves processing financial transactions for our customers, all successful applicants will be required to undertake and successfully pass a basic Disclosure Scotland check.

IT Sytems Administrator

Working betweek Inverurie and Kintore sites.
The Role
Working between our Inverurie and Kintore sites, this role will involve providing IT support via telephone, remote and desk visits, whilst also supporting the IT Systems Manager and Head of IT.

This role is instrumental in ensuring that the IT and telephony systems within Donald Russell operate effectively, maintaining core server’s availability by carrying out daily checks and the security of data is managed by ensuring back up cycles have been completed on schedule.
You will also be responsible for carrying out Windows Servers Administration including Active Directors/GPO and networking LAN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, Switches, Routers and Firewalls.
Working hours are Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week with occasional weekend and call out coverage, depending on business needs.

Skills and Experience

With a proven track record of practical IT systems administration, preferably within an FMCG, food or distribution services environment and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop and server products, you will also be able to develop great working relationship and effective interdepartmental communication across the company.



You will possess strong knowledge of Networking products (TCP/IP, Internet, Intranet, Switches Hubs and Routers) coupled with a solid understanding of hardware products including servers PC, laptops, printers and general network equipment and a strong knowledge of voice over IP technology and virtual environment, eg HyperV.

Hygiene Operative - Job Specification

This is a permanent role based within the Fulfilment Centre in Kintore. This role will involve ensuring that Donald Russell is legally compliant in hygiene standards as a Food Business Operator (FBO) and EC approved plant.

Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (6 am – 2 pm) with overtime working which will include earlier starts and Saturday working, when required.

Duties
The main duties of the role will be to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in the office, canteen, toilet and fulfilment areas of the site on a daily basis and ensuring that all equipment and machinery used is kept in good working order.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience of working in a hygiene role would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to work well on own initiative as well as the ability to work well under pressure and to high standards is essential.

On-Call Sales Advisor - Job Specification

This on call role is based within the Contact Centre in Inverurie, taking telephone calls and enquiries from new and existing customers and placing orders on our in house system - all whilst providing a first class customer service. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of customer interactions and undertake various administrative duties relevant to the role, such as following up on customer enquiries.


There is requirement to cover peak call times in the Contact Centre which are as follows:


  • Monday & Tuesday 8 am – 8 pm (full flexibility to cover different shifts during these hours would be advantageous)
  • Evenings – 4 pm – 8 pm
  • Weekends – 9 am – 5 pm

Other hours may be available and will be offered where possible during the normal opening hours - although no hours are guaranteed. The role is an on call role with no guarantee of any hours in any given week.


Duties
As the “voice” of Donald Russell, applicants should possess exceptional communication skills, with an ability to display confidence, patience, tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult situations. Strong MS Office skills are essential, as is the ability to learn a bespoke IT package. Previous experience within a customer service environment would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
