General Operative

Job Specification

We are recruiting for a vacancy within our production facility at Inverurie for a General Operative within our Portion Department. Working within an established diverse team, you will be responsible on a daily basis for unpacking and moving raw meat product to ensure that our Portion Butchers have the appropriate cuts to work with. You will also be required to pack and move finished pallets of products once they have been processed.

You will be trained to operate machinery as required, but most of the preparation and finishing work will be carried out by hand. You will be required to adhere to strict food hygiene standards as well as develop an understanding of and adhere to strict traceability procedures.

Working hours are 40 hours per week - 6.00 am – 2.30 pm Monday – Friday, with overtime as required, which may involve Saturday working during peak periods.

This work will involve working in a chilled environment wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (which will be provided). Previous experience in a food despatch environment would be beneficial but not essential, along with knife skills.

Temporary  Added Value Operative

As a food production service, it is vital that we remain open. However, we require to adhere to the guidance set down by the government. In view of this, applications will ONLY be progressed from individuals who will be able to adhere to the recognised government social distancing advice, ie travelling to work by car or motorbike alone, or be able to walk to work at Inverurie.

We are recruiting at our premises in Inverurie for a General Operative. This will be on a fixed term contract initially for 3 months but may be extended if necessary. Working hours will be Monday – Friday 6 am – 2.30 pm with overtime as and when required which may include Saturday working.

Working within an established diverse team, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of Donald Russell products including minced steak, sausages, burgers, sausage rolls and en-croutes, all to our exacting high standards.

You will be trained to operate machinery as required, but most of the preparation and finishing work will be carried out by hand. You will also be required to pack and move finished pallets of products, as well as adhering to strict food hygiene standards.

This work will involve working in a chilled environment wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) which will be provided.

In view of this, applications will ONLY be progressed from individuals who will be able to adhere to the recognised government social distancing advice, ie travelling to work by car or motorbike alone, or be able to walk to work at Kintore.

We are recruiting at our premises in Kintore for a General Operative within the Packing Team. This will be on a fixed term contract initially for 3 months but may be extended if necessary. Working hours will be Monday – Friday 6 am – 2 pm with overtime as and when required.

Working as part of an established and diverse team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customer orders are packed appropriately and passed to our distribution department. You will be required to operate scanning and bar coding equipment and high attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately is essential, whilst ennsuring that the highest standard of quality and hygiene is maintained. During busy periods, there may be the requirement to carry out cleaning duties throughout the Fulfilment site as well as provide support to the Dry Ice Team in packing orders.

You will be working in a chilled environment, however, appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided as well as full training on the processes, along with training on any machinery required to be used. The ability to adhere and maintain strict hygiene and quality standards is essential.

Temporary General Operative (Picking)

Job Specification

As a food production service, it is vital that we remain open. However, we require to adhere to the guidance set down by the government. In view of this, applications will ONLY be progressed from individuals who will be able to adhere to the recognised government social distancing advice, ie travelling to work by car or motorbike alone, or be able to walk to work at Kintore.

We are recruiting at our premises in Kintore for a General Operative. This will be on a fixed term contract initially for 3 months but may be extended if necessary. Working hours will be Monday – Friday 6 am – 2 pm with overtime as and when required which may include Saturday working.

Working within the Picking Department as part of an established and diverse team, you will be responsible for selecting customer orders to their exact specifications and ensuring that the highest standard of quality and hygiene is maintained. This is a busy department and a high attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately is essential, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in the orders picked.

As our product is frozen, you will be working in a freezer environment which is cold, however, appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided as well as additional warming breaks outwith your normal breaks. Full training will be provided on the processes, along with training on any machinery required to be used.
