Soften the butter with a dinner fork or a wooden spoon in a bowl
Add the shallots and peppercorns and shallots
Mix well
Place butter onto cling film and form the butter into a log shape
Roll the film around the butter so it forms a tight log
Fold or twist the ends and place in the refrigerator until firm
Cut into 4 rounds and serve on top of your cooked steak where they melt into the meat to make a simple yet delicious sauce
