Salt Beef is a centuries-old classic. We've taken our own grass-fed beef brisket, cured it and cooked it in the traditional way till it becomes wonderfully soft, pink and very moreish. Try this juicy award-winner sliced thin and piled high with mustard and pickles - what a taste sensation!
To Serve Cold: Defrost overnight in the fridge. Slice thinly and serve as cold cuts. Or for a New York deli-style sandwich, pile onto rye bread, with Dijon mustard and sliced dill pickle.
To Serve Hot: Defrost overnight in the fridge, put the defrosted meat in a casserole dish, along with juices from the bag to keep it moist, cover and heat in the oven at 160 C / Fan 150 C / Gas 3 for 30-35 minutes. Or slice and sparingly layer the slices in deep baking tray, heat in the same way as for the whole Salt Beef, but for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
