Share a taste of luxury this Valentine’s Day with our award-winning tender, 21 day matured, Centre Cut Fillet Steaks. Along with our crispy Alpine Fries, creamy Cauliflower Cheese and warming Peppercorn Sauce, it’s a delicious meal for two. Finish it off with our rich, crunchy topped, gooey centred Chocolate Brownies and sweet Salted Caramel Sauce.

 

Cooking Instructions:
 
Centre Cut Fillet Steak
Remove the steak from its packaging, allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes , patting dry with kitchen paper.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan, over a high heat.

Cook the steaks to your liking following the recommended times.

Rare: 4-5 minutes per side, rest for 6 minutes
Medium: 5½-6 minutes per side, rest for 4 minutes
Well Done: 7-7½ minutes per side, rest for 1 minute


Remove from the pan, cover with foil and leave to rest in a warm place for the recommended time.
Alpine Fries
For best results, cook from frozen. Remove product from packaging before cooking.

PAN FRY: Preheat a little oil in a pan over a medium heat, place Alpine Fries in carefully and cook for 4-5 minutes until crisp.
Turn regularly during cooking.

CHEF'S TIP: Pan-fry your Alpine Fries in the juices left in your steak pan while your steak is resting! If it was a leaner steak, like fillet or rump, add a splash more oil to ensure there is enough.

OVEN: Place on a tray lined with baking paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C / Fan 190°C / Gas 5 for 13-15 minutes.

DEEP FRY: In preheated oil at 180°C for 4-5 minutes.

Ensure the product is piping hot throughout.
Do not reheat once cooked.
Cauliflower Cheese
OVEN: Remove film and place product tray onto a baking tray.

Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C / Fan 190°C / Gas 5 for:

From Frozen: 20-25 minutes
From Defrosted: 15-20 minutes
until piping hot, stir before serving.

MICROWAVE: Based on 800 watt. Pierce the film and cook for:

From Frozen: 5-6 minutes
From Defrosted: 4-5 minutes
until piping hot, stir before serving.
Creamy Peppercorn Sauce
Cooking guidelines from defrosted:

Hob: decant contents into a saucepan.

Heat gently over a medium heat.
Stir occasionally until piping hot, serve immediately.

Microwave: based on 900W, on a medium setting.

Decant contents into a microwavable dish, cover loosely and cook for 2 minutes 15 seconds until piping hot.

Stir well and serve immediately.
Do not reheat once cooked
Chocolate Brownies
For best results Cook from Frozen.

Preheat oven to 170°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 3. Remove outer film only.

Carefully place each brownie, still in its ring, onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake for 14-18 minutes.
Remove from the oven.

Carefully transfer the brownie, still in its ring, onto a plate using a spatula.
Allow to rest for 3-5 minutes.

Using a knife, loosen the brownie from its ring. It is now ready to serve warm - if you wish, finish with your favourite accompaniment.

Defrost and Serve: Defrost in its packaging in a fridge for 5 to 10 hours or 1 to 2 hours at room temperature on the kitchen counter.

Ensure the product is defrosted throughout before serving.
Remove outer film and carefully place the brownie onto a cold plate.
It is now ready to serve cold; if you wish, you can add your favourite accompaniment.
Salted Caramel Sauce
MICROWAVE FROM FROZEN: Pull open pouch grip seal by about 2cm at one side.

Heat upright in microwave on full power for 1-1½ minutes. (Based on 800w - vary time for different wattage.)

Remove from microwave, carefully reseal pouch and gently shake to reinvigorate the sauce's smooth, glossy texture.
Serve hot.

Caution: contents may be hot.

HEAT ON THE HOB FROM DEFROSTED: (Pouch should take approx. 2 hours to defrost at room temperature.)

Decant pouch contents into a small pan, bring gently to a simmer for 2-3 minutes whilst stirring occasionally.
Serve hot.
