Price per kg:
Thick rich gravy with plenty of juicy diced beef pieces and lamb kidney. They make a wonderfully deep pie topped with layer upon layer of light, flaky puff pastry- delicious.
Once I've cooked these in the oven, I like to pop the pastry in then oven on its own for a bit longer. This gives it a really nice colour and rise.
Remove pie from outer packaging and place on a baking tray. Brush pastry with beaten egg yolk or cream. Cook in a pre-heated oven at 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6 for:
From defrosted: 25-30 minutes
From frozen: 45-50 minutes
Remove from oven and allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
