    South American Mince

    Experiment with the unique combination of dried fruit and grass fed mince for an authentic South American experience.

  • Ingredients
    • 600g Minced Steak
    • 50g butter
    • 4 medium onions, finely chopped
    • 1 large tomato, peeled and sliced
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp pepper
    • 140ml beef stock
    • 2 pears, peeled and sliced
    • 2 peaches, peeled and sliced
    • 2 plums, peeled and sliced
    • 4 medium potatoes, cut in 1/2" dice
    • 50g seedless raisins
  • Method
    1. Heat the butter in a casserole dish and fry the onions until brown. Add the tomato, and fry for a further 2 minutes.
    2. Add the minced steak, stir well and brown for 2 minutes, then add the salt, pepper and stock. Cover and cook gently for one hour.
    3. Add all the fruit (excluding the raisins), and potatoes, and cook for approximately 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
    4. Just before serving, add the raisins and stir through.
