Succulent free-range chicken, traditionally slow-grown for 100 days to develop a deliciously deep, rich flavour.
Cooking guidelines from defrosted: ensure the bird is fully defrosted before cooking. Preheat the oven to 230°C / fan 210°C / gas 8.
Remove the chicken from packaging, pat dry with kitchen paper and allow to come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Brush lightly with oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place chicken in a roasting tray and cook for an initial 15 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C / fan 160°C / gas 4 and cook for a further 14-15 minutes per 450g.
Ensure the product is fully cooked and piping hot throughout, the juices must run clear when the thickest part is pierced with a skewer.
Once cooked rest in a warm place until ready to serve.
Ensure product is piping hot throughout before serving.
