Share a taste of luxury this Valentine’s Day. Start with our delicately sumptuous Scottish Smoked Salmon, before moving onto our award-winning tender, 21 day matured Centre Cut Fillet Steaks. Served with our rich, creamy Dauphinoise Potatoes, and warming Diane Sauce, it’s a delicious, romantic meal for two.

 

Cooking Instructions:
 
Centre Cut Fillet Steaks
Remove the steak from its packaging, allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes, patting dry with kitchen paper.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan, over a high heat. Cook the steaks to your liking following the recommended times.

Rare: 4-5 minutes per side, rest for 6 minutes
Medium: 5½-6 minutes per side, rest for 4 minutes
Well Done: 7-7½ minutes per side, rest for 1 minute


Remove from the pan, cover with foil and leave to rest in a warm place for the recommended time.
Creamy Diane Sauce
Cooking guidelines from defrosted:

Hob: decant contents into a saucepan. Heat gently over a medium heat. Stir occasionally until piping hot, serve immediately.

Microwave: based on 900W, on a medium setting. Decant contents into a microwavable dish, cover loosely and cook for 2 minutes until piping hot.Stir well and serve immediately.

Do not reheat once cooked. Please note: cooking appliances vary in performance; these are guidelines only.
Dauphinoise Potatoes
Cooking guidelines: remove sleeve and film, and place tray onto a baking tray.

Cook in preheated oven at 200°C / fan 180°C / gas 6,

from frozen: 40-45 minutes
from defrosted: 30-35 minutes


Remove from oven, ensure product is piping hot throughout then allow to stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Do not reheat once cooked.
Scottish Smoked Salmon, D-Sliced
Preparation Instructions: Defrost in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve at room temperature for optimal flavour.

Serving Suggestion: Season the salmon with a little cracked black pepper, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice, and scatter some fresh rocket leaves and shaved slivers of parmesan cheese over the top.

Serve with fresh soda bread or good quality wholemeal, for a delicious starter or light meal.
