Developed following a collaboration with a local school, this juicy Asian-inspired burger is packed full of richly aromatic flavours. Coriander and soy sauce combine with sweet British pork for an international flavour that will leave you wanting more.

Top with ribbons of lightly pickled cucumbers or a crisp Asian-style slaw for an enticing mix of flavours and textures.

School collaboration ends in delicious results

Following a collaboration with a local Aberdeenshire secondary school, the chosen winner of the Dragon’s Den style competition was this Asian-inspired pork burger. Chef Eddie says: “All the burgers and presentations were of an excellent standard. This one stood out for me as the Asian flavours were well-balanced and complemented the flavour of the pork. It made for a tasty burger that I really enjoyed.”

It was definitely fun for us and we hope it will set the S3 pupils up with some valuable experience for their futures.

We think it's a great example of the benefits that come from engaging with young people in our local community - for them, for us, and for our customers!

Cooking Instructions:
 
Cooking guidelines from defrosted: remove the burgers from the packaging and allow to come to room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking.

Preheat a heavy based frying pan to a medium temperature. Brush each side of the burger with a little oil.

Cook the burgers for 9-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Don't press down whilst cooking as this can dry them out.

Remove from the pan when fully cooked, cover loosely with foil and leave to rest somewhere warm for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Ensure product is fully cooked & piping hot throughout.
