Cooking instructions

To make the packaging easier to remove leave the product for 20 minutes at room temperature in its bag prior to roasting - you can pre-heat the oven during this time.

Remove all packaging and place bone side down, with all fat and liquid, onto a baking tray.

Cook in a preheated oven at 200ºC/Gas mark 5 or 190ºC for Fan assisted ovens:

65 - 70 minutes from defrosted
90 - 95 minutes from frozen

Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Ensure the product is piping hot throughout.
Do not reheat once cooked.

PLEASE NOTE: Once cooked, the pan juices will be concentrated and highly flavoured. To use as a gravy, dilute to taste with water, light stock or wine. Or simply heat our rich, ready-made Ultimate Beef Gravy.

All delicious and great value for money
I have only used the shin of veal as yet. As usual the quality was excellent, and the flavour good. However, the quantity was missing. We got only four good helpings from it after cooking to instructions. Luckily there were only three of us, but your 'servings' info is definitely optimistic, and of... Read More.
Easy to cook and beautiful taste. I have bought it in the past as it makes a good celebration meal.
Same thing here. Not tried yet
Excellent qualityt veal, melted in the mouth and fell off the bone. Absolutely delicious.
As I said before.
Cooked to perfection and a memorable Christmas meal in 90 mins.
Falling off the bone and succulent to the last bite.
This was even better than the Shin of Beef which I thought was amazing.
Second purchased.Absolutely divine..... succulent, falls off the bone and really hassle free cooking! Juices make wonderful gravy!
Absolutely delicious, tender meat. The food was quickly and easily prepared. It made a plentiful meal for two plus considerable leftovers, which we turned into rissoles.
First of the 'slow cooked' joints we have tried. Found the meat tender and tasty, had several servings both hot and next day cold, lovely
I usually don't eat veal but I have to say this was the most beautiful dish I have ever served and it was delicious. I used the leftover bits and juices for a fantastic soup.

This is a great product, so easy to prepare and the final result is superb. I finished off the roasting by pouring over red wine and this brought out all the flavours of the herbs and spiuces used in your preparation (the juniper came singing through!).
This was everything it promised to be. Tender, succulent, flavoursome but with a softer, sweeter beef flavour! I cooked it from frozen, basted it a couple of times and if you want hassle-free cooking on the day I highly recommend. The roasting residues also made the most delicious gravy. All in all a... Wow this was just incredible. So tender, so tasty. Took it to our holiday cottage, felt like I should have been cooking all day but so easy and quick to put on table with no effort from me. Thank you..
Not cheap, but delicious. Doesn't feed as many as suggested
