Once defrosted do not re-freeze
Use within 48 hours of defrost starting
Carefully remove en-croûte from packaging, leaving on baking paper only.
Preheat oven to 200ºC/Gas6 along with a baking tray.
Brush pastry with beaten or egg yolk or alternatively with double cream.
Place the En Croute onto the pre-heated baking tray and cook for:
35-40 minutes from frozen
15-18 minutes from defrosted
Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
To serve carefully lift the En-Croûte from baking paper and carve into 2-3cm slices.
Ensure the product is piping hot throughout.
Do not reheat once cooked.
All times and temperatures stated are for fan ovens; if using a conventional oven the temperature must be increased by 10-20ºC.
