Generously marbled, our traditionally matured ribeyes are bursting with the mellow flavour of prime rib, and are juicy and succulent when cooked, especially when following our How to cook the perfect steak

Head Butcher's Tip:

The circle of fat between the fillet of ribeye and the ribeye cap should be around the size of a 50 pence piece, for the ultimate flavour. Sometimes there can be a trace of gristle left around this circle of fat, this is entirely normal and is a natural part of this steak.

-18°C. Once defrosted store between 0 - 5°C. Use within 24 hours

Remove the steak from its packaging, allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes, patting dry with kitchen paper.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan, over a high heat. Cook the steaks to your liking following the recommended times.

Rare: 1-2 minutes per side, rest for 6 minutes
Medium: 3 minutes per side, rest for 4 minutes
Well Done: 4-5 minutes per side, rest for 1 minute

Remove from the pan, cover with foil and leave to rest in a warm place for the recommended time.

Perfect, tender and full of flavour. I fried them in a pan with salt and pepper, finished off with some butter and they were delicious.

Ribeye have to be cooked semi-rare.but the fat does not get cooked.

Sizes of steaks seems to vary from deal to deal.

It is important that the steaks are of even thickness. Sometimes they come with one end a lot thinner than other.
