Made of ground, golden-yellow maize, polenta is a traditional accompaniment in Italy. Ours has already been pre-cooked and shaped into these lovely disks, so all you need to do is crisp them up in a frying pan with some olive oil or melted butter. From grilled meats to saucy casseroles, we haven’t yet found anything they don’t go with!

For best results, pan-fry from frozen.

Remove product from packaging before cooking.

Pan fry:
Preheat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Pan-fry frozen fritters for 6-8 minutes until crisp. Occasionally turn fritters gently during cooking.

Place frozen fritters on a tray lined with baking paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C/Fan 190°C/Gas 5 for 18-20 minutes. For a crispy finish, dot each fritter with a little butter halfway through cooking.

Serving suggestion:
Serve hot as a side dish with steaks. For restaurant style presentation, top with fillet or rump medallions, and surround with a drizzling of sauce or jus. Fritters can also be sprinkled with parmesan cheese or fresh chopped herbs.

Horrid! Solid, dense and unpleasant - and I like polenta1
I enjoyed these, interesting change from pasta/rice/potato. I found 3 were enough for a serving.
Lovely side dish, my wife likes these because they are glutton free
not for me, found them fairly tasteless.

Was very impressed with these. Thought they might be a bit bland & dull, but they had a lovely texture. Complemented the dish very well. An excellent addition to your range.

Didn't think much of these the first time we bought them but have been trying them now with tasty sauces and that does improve the taste as a bit bland

Very pleased with these. We had them instead of potatoes. Also very tasty with bacon and eggs.
