Our Minced Lamb is prepared only from prime lamb offcuts which are too small to become our roasts or chops. We carefully grind it to a medium-coarse consistency for the perfect texture; it melts in the mouth when cooked slowly yet holds its shape in burgers and meatballs.

Head Butcher's Tip:

Minced Lamb has a higher fat content than that of steak or pork mince - this adds fabulous flavour. If you prefer leaner meals, simply cook the mince a day in advance, cool and store overnight in the fridge. The fat will solidify on the top, and can be carefully removed before reheating.

Head Chef's Tip:

Our Minced Lamb is vacuum packed, so it's easy to store in your freezer. You'll find that the mince is quite compact after defrosting, so I would recommend that once you are ready to cook, break the mince up before browning, and continue to break it up in the pan as it browns.

From DefrostedAllow the mince to come to room temperature prior to cooking.
Remove all packaging.
Preheat a wide, heavy bottomed pan over a high heat and add 5ml (1 tspn) of oil. Add minced steak and brown all over for 6-9 minutes per 440g. Then use as per your favourite recipe. Ensure the minced steak is piping hot throughout before serving.

Using a wide heavy bottomed pan will allow the minced steak to spread out and brown in a thin layer. Break up the minced steak with a wooden spoon before or during cooking to release the meaty flavour.

High quality minced lamb, which I have found great for making Greek meatloaf. It's got just the right amount of fat to make it tasty, tender, and succulent. This mince is not only good for meatloaf. It can be used in a great variety of ways, such as shepherd's pie, lamb burgers, and so on.

It was lean but I prefer a coarser mincer. Was good in shepherds pie but particularly good making kofta'a and lamb keema

I personally found this minced lamb to be very strong in flavour but I still give it 5 stars as my hubby and children loved it.
Not used yet but this is a re-order as the quality is always very, very good. A firm favourite with this family.
