Frozen at the peak of perfection
-18°C. Once defrosted store between 0 - 5°C. Use within 24 hours
Nutritional Values (Typical per 100g)
Energy: 1117 kJ / 267 kcal, Fat: 17.3g, of which Saturates: 6.8g, Carbohydrates: 0g, of which Sugars: 0g, Fibre: 0g, Protein: 25.9g, Salt: 0.13g
Remove the roast from its packaging, allow the meat to come to room temperature for 20 minutes, patting dry with kitchen paper. Preheat oven to 250°C/475°F/Gas 9. Sear the meat for 15 minutes in the oven. Reduce oven temperature to 190°C/375°F/Gas 5 and add cooking time below:

Rare: 10-12 minutes per 450g Int Temp: 45-47°C/113-117°F
Medium: 14-16 minutes per 450g Int Temp: 55-60°C/131-140°
Well Done: 20-22 minutes per 450g Int Temp: 65-70°C/149-158°F

Remove from the oven, cover with foil and leave to rest in a warm place for 10 minutes.

A good quality piece of meat but unfortunately arrived frozen.
I hadn't tasted a rib roast in many years and this was a Christmas treat. It was superb and provided five meals for the two of us. I'm tempted to splash out again soon.

High quality meat as expected , tender and tasty as meat should be. Don't mind paying for anything as long as it's good and thus certainly was.
delicious. Lots of positive comments from those at the table. It looked good too. Cooking length guidelines were way too short for our gas oven. We had to wait an extra 60 minutes before the beef was rare rather than raw.
As advised, I purchased (and used) a meat thermometer for this roast as the better half likes her meat well done and I prefer it where a Vet could revive it....

Lovely piece of meat. The meat thermometer I bought ( a really cheap one form a supermarket) failed but the cooking instructions supplied worked perfectly and we had a succulent, well cooked rib roast.
