Pork shoulder has great marbling, a firm texture and lots of flavour. Our butchers have lovingly hand prepared these for you, so you can enjoy all the flavour of marinated pork with none of the waiting.

Head Butcher's Tip:
Pork shoulder is a heavily marbled cut - that means it is rippled through with tiny ribbons of fat and connective tissue, which melt away during cooking, leaving a wonderfully rich flavour.There can sometimes be traces of gristle left after cooking; this is entirely normal and is a natural part of these steaks. If you love the flavour of our Marinated Pork Shoulder Steaks but prefer a smoother, leaner texture, why not marinate our Pork Loin Steaks in a mix of The Perfect Seasoning?

Head Chef's Tip:
It's important not to over-cook these delicious Marinated Pork Steaks as they will become dry and tough. I recommend no more than 2-3 minutes per side, and a good 5 minutes resting after cooking.

Ingredients:
Pork, Seasoning (Salt, Sugar, Paprika, Demerara Sugar, Cumin, Garlic, White Pepper, Cayenne, Nutmeg, Cassia, Clove, Marjoram, Thyme, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Yeast Extract, Sunflower Oil, Paprika Extract)

Cooking instructions:

Defrost in fridge overnight. Remove Steaks from packaging.

Preheat a frying pan or griddle pan. Add a little oil to the pan or brush oil directly onto the steaks to avoid using too much.

Place steaks into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes without touching. Turn your steaks and continue to cook for a further 2-3 minutes.

Remove steaks from the pan. Place steaks on a rack, cover with foil and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Totally delicious and versatile. I have oven cooked, grilled or fried, and sliced thinly make a delicious stir fry. The spices used are not overwhelming to the meat.
