Pan Fry

Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan.
Dry the mackerel fillets with kitchen paper, season the flesh with salt and add to the frying pan, skin-side down. As the fillets curl up away from the heat, gently apply pressure to the fillet to ensure that the fish stays flat and all of the skin comes into contact with the pan.
Cook for 1 - 2 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet. Once the skin is crisp and golden, turn the fillet over and remove the pan from the heat. Leave the mackerel in the pan to cook through, for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Serve immediately.

Preheat a grill to a medium-high heat.
Season the mackerel well, squeeze a few drops of lemon juice and a sprinkling of zest over each fillet, and drizzle them with olive oil. Place under the grill, skin side up, for five minutes. After five minutes turn them over to brown the meat which will be nearly cooked by now and should only need a minute or two. Set aside to rest.

A good product but needs cooking instructions printed on the packet. I would definitely buy them again. I put one or two in foil and cooked them in the oven until they were done. Time taken depends on whether or not they are frozen and how many you're cooking.
I love these just quickly pan fried in butter or coconut oil, so fast to prepare for a quick easy supper!
easy to cook, tastes great
Always well prepared and good value. The best way to eat mackerel.
loved these,as usual.tasty and plump
A good healthy stand by for the freezer
We always keep this in the freezer -- fresh fish in minutes.
Delicious well worth the order
Tasty and nutritious, what more can you expect?
An old favourite ordered regularly and enjoyed by many.
Bought when on offer. Tasty and good value.
Bought for my husband - he enjoys them. I am not too keen on the taste - not sure why!
Purchase this with every order
Some bones take extra care but nice taste
Always superb, and delicious taste
Very good for frozen but when you've caught and eaten straight from the sea 😀👍👍👍
Not tried yet. I'm sure, as it's not a ready meal it will be fine.
Satisfactory but a little dry
