Beef 'short ribs' on the bone - cooked for you for a full 10 hours, simply finish in the oven for 95 minutes from frozen. Laced throughout with tasty fat that gets gently crisped up, adding to the full, deep flavour of the meat. You could almost shred it with a fork if you wanted!

How to cook Slow Cooked Roasts, by Donald Russell.

 

Storage Conditions: Store at < -18ºC (Supplied frozen)
Defrost 36 hours in the fridge and store below 5ºc once defrosted. Use within 24 hours (can also be cooked from frozen)

Cooking instructions

To make the packaging easier to remove leave the product for 20 minutes at room temperature in its bag prior to roasting - you can pre-heat the oven during this time.

Remove all packaging and place bone side down, with all fat and liquid, onto a baking tray.

Cook in a preheated oven at 200ºC/Gas mark 6 or 190ºC for Fan assisted ovens:

65 - 70 minutes from defrosted
90 - 95 minutes from frozen

Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Ensure the product is piping hot throughout.
Do not reheat once cooked.

PLEASE NOTE: Once cooked, the pan juices will be concentrated and highly flavoured. To use as a gravy, dilute to taste with water, light stock or wine. Or simply heat our rich, ready-made Ultimate Beef Gravy.

Wow. Succulent and tender. I sliced and froze half after cooking it. I froze the juices separately and on reheating the frozen leftovers in the juices, the meat was amazingly tender still.
