Slow Cooked Jacob's Ladder

Product Information
Slow Cooked Jacob's Ladder

Leave the product for 20 minutes at room temperature in its bag prior to roasting. Remove all packaging and place bone side down, with all fat and liquid onto a baking tray.

Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C / Fan 190°C / Gas 6 for:

40-45 minutes from defrosted
50-55 minutes from frozen

Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Ensure the product is piping hot throughout. Do not reheat once cooked.

Please Note: Once cooked, the pan juices will be concentrated and highly flavoured. To use as a gravy, dilute to taste with water, light stock or wine.

Alpine Fries

For best results, cook from frozen. Remove product from packaging before cooking.
PAN FRY: Preheat a little oil in a pan over a medium heat, place Alpine Fries in carefully and cook for 4-5 minutes until crisp. Turn regularly during cooking.

CHEF'S TIP: Pan-fry your Alpine Fries in the juices left in your steak pan while your steak is resting! If it was a leaner steak, like fillet or rump, add a splash more oil to ensure there is enough.

OVEN: Place on a tray lined with baking paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C / Fan 190°C / Gas 5 for 13-15 minutes.
DEEP FRY: In preheated oil at 180°C for 4-5 minutes.
Ensure the product is piping hot throughout. Do not reheat once cooked.

Chocolate Brownies

For best results Cook from Frozen. Preheat oven to 170°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 3. Remove outer film only. Carefully place each brownie, still in its ring, onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 14-18 minutes. Remove from the oven. Carefully transfer the brownie, still in its ring, onto a plate using a spatula. Allow to rest for 3-5 minutes. Using a knife, loosen the brownie from its ring. It is now ready to serve warm - if you wish, finish with your favourite accompaniment.

Defrost and Serve: Defrost in its packaging in a fridge for 5 to 10 hours or 1 to 2 hours at room temperature on the kitchen counter. Ensure the product is defrosted throughout before serving. Remove outer film and carefully place the brownie onto a cold plate. It is now ready to serve cold; if you wish, you can add your favourite accompaniment.
