2 packs Diced Red Deer Venison, 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil, 2 onions (chopped), 1 garlic clove (chopped), 250g carrots - cut into discs, 50ml Balsamic Vinegar, 500ml Beef Stock, 2 cloves, 50g Bittersweet chocolate (roughly chopped), 4 stalks parsley (chopped), Salt and Pepper
Bring the meat to room temperature and pat dry with kitchen paper. Heat the oil in a large braising pan (one with a lid). Sear the meat in three batches until lightly browned. Take out and set aside. Add the onions, garlic and carrot to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar. Return the meat and any meat juices to the pan and reduce until nearly all the liquid has evaporated. Add the stock, cloves and cinnamon. Bring to the boil then cover with a lid and reduce the heat. Simmer on the hob for 60-70 mins. Remove the lid and reduce the sauce until slightly thickened. Sprinkle with chocolate and wait 2-3 minutes for the chocolate to melt. Stir gently and season with salt and pepper. To serve - arrange the stew on preheated plates and sprinkle with parsley.

My all time favourite! Beautiful tender venison that makes a delicious stew.
Excellent product and flavour.
As good as I've ever tasted
Lovely and lean meat. Really tasty.
Regular buy. Slow-pot is on at the moment, with venison having been marinated in red wine and Juniper berries for 2 days (my regular recipe for this item) Fantastic meat
juicy , tasty meat and always fresh
First time I have tried. Unusual taste but enjoyed.
Beautifully tender and flavoursome
Excellent quality as always.
A regular buy for us thanks to Claire Macdonald's recipe.
Excellent quality at an acceptable price
Great for stews and is very lean and tender
I have tried this on several different occasions, never disappointed, I cook in slow cooker, with vegetables and it's a great flavour and very tender.
not used yet but looks good value
I was cooking dinner for five so the four packs gave me plenty - enough for the seconds which were requested!
Wanted to make venison stroganoff and it worked well
a repeat purchase that makes a rich and satisfying meal
Best cooked in red wine plus veggies and herbs/spices on top of cooker, very gently for about 3 hours.
This is excellent for a slow cooked casserole and tastes delicious
