Sumptuous duck, seasoned, cured and slow cooked so it's meltingly tender and moreishly tasty - no wonder this classic dish is so popular. A speciality of France, this generously sized duck leg is cooked in its own fat using a centuries-old artisan method and takes just a few minutes to heat through for a satisfying meal anytime. The lean dark meat has a rich, savoury flavour, and it's so tender it falls off the bone. Pan-fry for the crispiest skin - delicious!

Cooking methods:

Pan Frying:
Heat a frying pan over a low heat and sauté the legs, skin side down, with a little of the fat, until the skin is crisp, golden and heated through.

Preheat oven to 200ºC/ Fan180ºC/Gas 6. Lift the duck legs out of the fat wipe off most of the excess with kitchen paper. Place skin-side up on a rack in a roasting tin and roast for 15-20 minutes, until the skin is crisp and golden and the meat has heated through.

Chef's Tip:
For extra crispy skin, flash the heated duck legs under a hot grill, skin side up, watching carefully at all times. Keep the remaining duck fat and use later, in small amounts, to make gorgeous sautéed food.

A delicious and impressive dinner party dish. Very easy to serve. I scraped off the duck fat and roasted small crispy potatoes to go with them.
High quality. Always good
Excellent although a little pricey.
Easy to cook, very tasty, and very meaty. 2 served 3 of us
These are really wonderful. Very fond of duck but these save a great deal of preparation and cooking time. Went down very well at a dinner party with a French theme. Have just bought some more.
These are excellent had only tasted in France but these are lovely and so easy cooked.I really enjoyed cooking these so tender and tasteful
Delicious and so convenient
I have bought these a few times and even sent them to a friend who also loved them.
Very meaty and full of taste.
Wonderful flavour - melts in the mouth
I have also bought these Confit Duck Legs before and they are delicious and so easy to cook once defrosted by merely re-heating them in the oven for the time recommended, having been previously cooked in the Confit process.
I have had these a few times now, cooked as per the instructions no waste apart from the bone which the meat just falls off of. Yummy.
husband loved them would buy again
A staple in the freezer. Both for entertaining and home consumption!
Also I like the fat for future roast potatoes.
Very nice and tasty. Cooks well and looks good.
Not the best I've had or tasted
So very tasty, makes a meal special!
Excellent and soft. Better than other brands I have tried such as Waitrose and M&S
Makes an impressive dinner served with a nice sauce. So easy.
Our favourite. But still can't crisp up the skin.
