Cut from the head of the fillet, it’s a beautiful, heart-shaped piece of fantastically tender, grass-fed, beef – even its name sounds romantic! Paired with some of our delicious roast vegetables which can be cooked, from frozen, in 4-5 minutes.

    • 1 Chateaubriand, 500g
    • 2 Roasted New Potatoes Fennel
      and Red onions, 200g each
    • 1 Roasted Root Vegetables, 200g

Frozen at the peak of perfection
Keep frozen at -18°C. Once defrosted store between 0 - 5°C. Use within 24 hours

Do not refreeze once defrosted
Chateaubriand (instructions are also provided in the cooking guide included with your order)

Heat olive oil in a hot frying pan & brown chateaubriand all over for 5-6 minutes all over. Season with salt & pepper and place on a rack in a roasting tin and cook in a pre-heated oven at 230°C / 445°F / Gas 8 for:

Rare: 6-8 Minutes
Medium Rare: 10-12 Minutes
Medium: 14-16 Minutes
Well Done: 18-20 Minutes

Remove the meat form the oven. Cover with foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes before cutting into slices. Serve with a salad & sautéed potatoes.

Vegetable Sides
(Roasted New Potatoes Fennel & Red Onions ~~ Roasted Root Vegetables ~~ Braised Red Cabbage)

For best results cook from frozen in the oven.

OVEN: Remove film and place tray onto a baking tray. Cook in preheated oven at 210°C / Fan 200°C / Gas 7 until piping hot for:
From frozen: 30-35 minutes
From defrosted: 22-25 minutes

MICROWAVE: Based on 800 watt. Pierce film and cook until piping hot:
From frozen: 4 - 5 minutes
From defrosted: 3 - 4 minutes

Stir before serving.

Oh My!!! Absolutely fabulous! I bought this as a special treat for my boyfriend. He really enjoyed it & told me it was cooked to perfection & restaurant standard! Praise indeed, but I have to say that was more down to the quality of meat than my cooking skills!
what can I say delicious and value fr money. you'd pay 3 times as much if eating out with no guarantee it would be as flavoursome or tender as this. so good I've ordered again

I would like to say great but, like a lot of Donald Russell meat, it never squares up to the photographs they show you. This was rather tough and livery. Not my best experience.
